Metaskills, Skills of the Future – Raffles Design Institute
LEARNING GAP IN OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM LEADS TO SKILLS GAP IN OUR WORK SYSTEM - hence Metaskills
It was an exciting 5 days run, introducing the MetaSkills™ Framework to a diverse set of students of Raffles Design Institute
To design this programme we asked ourselves a question:
What are the skills that students will need to navigate the future AI world of unknowables?
To develop resilient leaders of the future we need to complement, in equal measure Tade Skills and Tech Skills with Metaskills.
Tech Skills are fungible, whereas "Curiosity", "Sensemaking" and "Creating" are timeless human skills that we need to consciously train ourselves in.
To prepare students to be future ready we must include Metaskills in our school curriculum, and pay equal emphasis (if not more) in their mastery as we do in teaching trade skills or tech skills
Metaskills must not be optional rather essential.

A lovely experience delivering MetaSkills workshop to an ‘intentional’ and ‘curious’ bunch.
We had a great mix of faculty, administrators and students who delved deeper into the concept and MetaSkills mastery tools.
